If you have a photographer in your life, this ultimate gift guide is for you. Other gift guides might tell you a hard drive or extra SD cards… and while it’s true every photographer needs those, let’s face it those are also lame ideas. Let’s think out of the box together & get the photographers in our life cool presents this year.
Hey I’m Trinity, a full time lifestyle + wedding photographer in Colorado. Being a photographer is pretty much my whole personality so this is essentially my Christmas list + products I already have & love. In no particular order:
- The Ultimate fanny pack made especially for photographers. This is great especially for portrait or wedding photographers. This fanny pack fits lenses, has a camera strap attached as well as a phone harness sold separately. I have the Kindly camera bag & this fanny pack is definitely at the top of my Christmas list this year.
Photographer’s Fanny Pack – $162
- Staying on trend with camera bags, another gift for any photographer, or even videographer, in your life is a pelican case. Especially if they travel a lot with their gear, a pelican case keeps all that expensive gear safe & it rolls, making traveling so easy!
Pelican case with organizer – $398
- You can never go wrong with giving a photographer a camera to add to their collection. Say goodbye to the tiny polaroids you can hardly see & gift this wide format polaroid! I’ve had this camera for over a year & use it at ever single wedding. I just get my film from amazon, it’s super reasonable.
Fujifilm INSTAX Wide 300 Instant Camera – $130
- Another great gift that can add to their collection is the MagPod Starter Flash Kit. It a universal flash kit so you don’t have to worry if it’ll work with the flash they have. This one is on my own list! Incredible kit to boost their flash quality and give them more light control.
MagMod Starter Flash Kit – $109
- Come rain or shine, sometimes photographer have to shoot regardless of the weather. I have found myself wishing for this at several of my Colorado weddings where the weather can be unpredictable. It is essentially a rain coat for their camera! Only $15.99, this could be a stocking stuffer or a great bonus gift!
- Also super affordable & your photographer’s back and neck will thank you: An adjustable computer stand for their laptop. We spend hours starring at our computer, this stand allows their computer to be adjusted at different heights and angles so they aren’t bent over starring at their screen for hours.
Adjustable Computer Stand – $26.99
- A waterproof bluetooth speaker!!!! This one is on my list too. For those photo sessions, music just adds to the good vibes. This is a great addition to their camera bag. This one by JBL comes in all different fun colors, is portable & has 12 hours of battery life!
- This one is a little niche but it is one of my favorite gifts I’ve ever been given. A leather computer tote by Portland Leather. The quality is unmatched, fits my laptop perfectly & also works as just a regular tote. Portland Leather makes incredible bags & they have several options on their website other than the one I’ve linked. This particular one is the color & style I have personally & I love mine.
Crossbody Tote in Honey – $154
- Last, but certainly not least is this sticker pouch for laptops to hold a portable hard drive. It is a problem when you move your laptop an inch & your hard drive comes unplugged & disrupts your images uploading or literally anything you’re doing. This little $14 pouch will save your photographer so much headache. Just trust me.
Hard Drive Kangaroo Pouch – $13.99
- A gift certificate to relax. This could be for a massage, a facial, a mani + pedi, or even a Starbucks gift card. Anything that falls under self care that they probably aren’t doing for themself but 100% deserve for being on their feet 10+ hours every Saturday & sitting at a desk 24/7 the other days.
