I’m beyond ecstatic to share this wedding I captured at The Vineyards at Chappel Lodge in Austin, TX. This wedding was special in that it wasn’t overthought. There wasn’t a single moment throughout the day the bride and groom weren’t present with each other, their bridal party, and their family and friends. It was a beautiful —- to be witness to.

The wedding day was perfect because it wasn’t trying to be. When a bride + groom truly let go of any idea of ‘perfect’ and just be on their wedding day, the photos aren’t just photos. They are memories. Memories of them being sponges to everything around them, soaking up the day they became husband and wife, not wanting to miss a single detail.

The ceremony was so Pinterest worthy. I’ve struggled to find the words to capture what the ceremony entailed because it so intimate. It really represented what a wedding is all about: a covenant between 2 people in front of family and friends. The ceremony had live worship that gave me goosebumps followed by the bride and groom being prayed over by their closet family and friends laying hands on them.

The rest of the day flowed naturally and casually. We went right into time with the bride and groom while guests were dismissed for cocktail hour. This is always just a time for the bride and groom to essentially hangout. I give some poses, a few prompts but really try to just let you be and love on each other for a second while I document that authentic love after becoming husband and wife.

As a wedding photographer, my goal isn’t just to get pretty photos but to capture the essence of the day. From the goosebump inducing ceremony to the fun reception, my ultimate goal is to document the day in a way that brings you right back for years to come. I want to freeze the memories just as they are for years to come. If you’re looking for a photographer to document your big day, say hey!
